Speaker July 26th Deidre Sanders, Ph.D East Bay Community Energy

Deidre leads EBCE’s efforts in building strong relationships with its government and community partners by ensuring their engagement in the development and implementation of EBCE’s policy goals. She has 17 years of energy industry experience with 10 years at PG&E as their Environmental Justice Manger, and before that seven years with Southern California Edison in Market Research, Community Engagement, and Environmental Affairs. In addition to her work at EBCE she also serves as an industry representative on the US EPA National Environmental Justice Advisory Council and the California League of Conservation Voters Green Advisory Council, as well as the state Air Resources Board AB617 Stakeholder Consultation Group. Deidre earned a Ph.D in Politics and Policy from Claremont Graduate University and a BA in History and International Relations from the University of Southern California.
